Connecting Midwives launches its 2015 Awards

The Connecting Midwives platform, developed by the Sanofi Espoir Foundation in partnership with the International Confederation of Midwives (ICM), aims to provide midwives with a dedicated space where they can discuss, debate and share their ideas, projects and innovations. This platform will enrich their professional practices, improving the health of women and newborns.

Through this platform, and for the second year running, the Sanofi Espoir Foundation is launching its Midwives for Life Awards, which reward projects by midwives aimed at reducing maternal and neonatal mortality and improving the health of women and newborns in developing countries.

The 2015 appeal for projects will close on 31 March 2015. Up to 10 projects will be selected by a jury of experts, and each laureate will receive 5,000 euros in financial support to develop his innovative idea. To post your project, you need to be a qualified midwife. Simply sign up and submit your idea to the Care Challenge website

For more information, go to the “Projects and Awards” tab on the Connecting Midwives website and read up on the 2014 prize winners’ projects

Feel free to share the information with your fellow midwives and health professionals!

Good luck to you all!
